Barcelona star Raphinha has this weekend turned heads across social media.
This comes after the Brazilian international showed his support for an Instagram post, highlighting the fact that his statistics this past season were superior to those of Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembélé.
Wide-man Raphinha is for his part of course fresh off nothing short of a spectacular campaign in 2024/25.
Looking a player reborn in the attack-minded setup of new Barcelona boss Hansi Flick, the former Leeds United man racked up a hefty 59 direct goal contributions across all competitions.
As much, at one point in the term, saw Raphinha’s name frequently pushed amongst the frontrunners for the next Ballon d’Or.
Recent months, however, have seen the 28-year-old slip further and further down the odds table.
And as alluded to above, Raphinha himself appears to be fully aware of such developments…
After stumbling across a post on Instagram this weekend, showcasing the fact that, statistically, he outperformed Ballon d’Or favourite Ousmane Dembélé this season, the Blaugrana winger responded with a simple ‘like’:
