Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has this week revealed his take that two fellow members of the attacking ranks in Catalunya’s capital should be considered amongst the very frontrunners to lift the next Ballon d’Or.
The pair in question? Lamine Yamal, and Raphinha.
Wide-men Lamine and Raphinha are of course fresh off spectacular respective seasons in 2024/25.
En route to Barcelona clinching a domestic treble, the two wingers ran riot along the flanks, to the tune of a combined total of over 100 direct goal contributions.
Such endeavours have seen both Blaugrana stars nominated for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
And of the opinion that either could yet go on to lift the prize, as alluded to above, is teammate and fellow nominee Robert Lewandowski.
Speaking during an interview with the BBC, as cited by Diario Sport, this week, veteran frontman Lewandowski explained:
“Lamine Yamal’s season was incredible, but in the end it all depends on the most important thing. He still has a lot of time left, if not this year, then maybe next year. Raphinha also had an amazing season. We have players who could be favourites to win this award.”
