A member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona could secure a winter move to England, with Newcastle United.
That’s according to Fichajes, who point towards Marc-André ter Stegen as the player in question.
Goalkeeper Ter Stegen is for his part of course sidelined long-term at present.
This comes after the German international was forced under the knife, to solve a long-term issue in his back.
The widespread understanding is that Ter Stegen would not have been featuring on a frequent basis for Hansi Flick’s side, anyway, following the summer signing of Joan García.
Ahead of next summer’s World Cup, the 33-year-old, in turn, has been hotly tipped to depart in January, in search of consistent playing time.
And according to the latest reports, Ter Stegen could find as much in the Premier League.
As per a report from Fichajes:
‘Marc-André Ter Stegen’s signing for Newcastle United is seen as a real possibility. The German goalkeeper is one of the Magpies’ top targets for the winter transfer market.’
