A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona boasts is overperforming his xG (expected goals) by a higher rate than any other player in this season’s Champions League.
That’s according to statisticians WhoScored, who highlight in-form Blaugrana summer signing Marcus Rashford as the player in question.
Frontman Rashford is for his part of course fresh off another starring performance on the continent on Tuesday night.
En route to Barcelona putting Olympiacos to the sword by six goals to one, the Englishman was responsible for a brace.
This adds to a further match-winning double on opening day in the Champions League, against Newcastle United.
And as alluded to above, such ongoing excellence on Rashford’s part has since given rise to a head-turning statistic.
As revealed by statisticians WhoScored:
‘Marcus Rashford is currently the biggest overperformer of xG in the Champions League this season (+3.22).’
