A transfer-linked member of the defensive ranks at La Liga heavyweights Barcelona has made clear his desire to stay put at the club next season.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Gerard Martín as the player in question.
The name of defender Martín has of course taken its place front and centre in the media chatter surrounding Barcelona over recent days.
This comes after word was forthcoming that the 23-year-old has been identified as a leading summer target on the part of not one, but two Premier League clubs.
Both Bournemouth and Wolverhampton Wanderers are understood to have earmarked Martín as a potential signing with a view to next season.
Safe to say, however, that the left-back himself has no intention of going anywhere…
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, on Tuesday:
‘Gerard Martín has instructed his representatives not to listen to offers’ ahead of the summer.
