Barcelona star hits the 50G/A mark for the season

A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona on Wednesday secured for himself an altogether impressive benchmark.

The player in question? Raphinha.

Wide-man Raphinha of course played a starring role once more last night, as Barcelona placed one foot in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

After welcoming Borussia Dortmund to Catalunya’s capital for the first leg of the quarter-final tie between the clubs, the Blaugrana ran riot, to the tune of an eventual 4-0 triumph.

Raphinha for his part featured from the off in the clash, and kept alive what has been nothing short of a historic campaign in the process.

After opening the scoring on the evening, the Brazilian went on to lay on a pair of assists during the 2nd-half, too.

And as alluded to above, owing to such exploits, Raphinha secured for himself nothing short of a staggering individual statistic.

The former Leeds United man, across all competitions in 2024/25, has now reached the 50-mark for combined goals and assists (28G, 22A).
