Barcelona star Raphinha has taken to social media, to issue a response to claims that his contract features a clause allowing him to depart for the Middle East next summer.
The subject of attacker Raphinha’s future in Catalunya’s capital has of course reemerged as a prominent one in the headlines across the week to date.
This comes after it was reported that the Brazilian and his entourage had negotiated a head-turning clause during contract talks in 2024.
The clause in question, it was reported, outlined that Barcelona would be ready to open the door to Raphinha taking his talents to Saudi Arabia following next summer’s World Cup, should the former Leeds United man choose to seek out a big-money pay day.
And as alluded to above, Raphinha has since provided his response to these reports.
Taking to his official Instagram account on Sunday, the 28-year-old unveiled a post reading:
“I really don’t know where they get so much nonsense from.”
