Barcelona star heads straight to training ground after 24 hours of travelling

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona this week reiterated his complete and total commitment to the cause in Catalunya’s capital.

The player in question? Ronald Araújo.

Stopper Araújo is for his part fresh off a busy international break with Uruguay.

Travelling across South America for a pair of fixtures against Peru and Chile, the 26-year-old played his part as the Celeste ramped up preparations for next year’s World Cup.

Araújo was then faced with the lengthy journey back to Spain, one which, between flights, connections and everything in between, took a full 24 hours.

This, though, did not stop the defender from immediately linking up with his Barcelona teammates.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘As soon as he landed in Barcelona, and with all the hustle and bustle of the trip on his shoulders, the Uruguayan went practically straight from the airport to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to train ahead of Sunday.’

Barcelona will mark their post-international break return to action in a La Liga meeting with Valencia in two Days’ time.
