Claims of a falling out between two members of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona have this week been backed.
This comes amid confirmation that issues have recently arisen between Fermín López and Gavi.
For those who may have missed it, a string of reports were forthcoming in the Spanish media earlier this summer, pointing towards a sudden and altogether serious bump in the relationship between Barcelona’s two midfield starles.
Though the exact reason for as much was not clear, it was suggested that Fermín and Gavi were no longer on good terms.
Some quickly moved to deny the legitimacy of these reports, albeit with no official line having come out of Hansi Flick’s camp.
And as alluded to above, this week, the head-turning claims have resurfaced once more.
Amid mounting speculation linking Fermín with an incoming departure from Catalunya’s capital, journalist Alfredo Martínez confirmed during an appearance on Radioestadio Noche that:
‘Fermín has had a problem with Gavi,’ though it is also noted that as much is unlikely to have a direct effect on the former’s immediate future.
