Barcelona star forced out of Atlético clash with bizarre injury

La Liga champions Barcelona were on Tuesday evening dealt what appeared to be a fresh blow on the personnel front.

This comes after Dani Olmo was forced into a premature depature from the club’s meeting with Atlético Madrid.

Olmo, as things stand, looks set to prove himself match-winner at the Spotify Camp Nou.

As much comes after the Spanish international continued to build upon his return to form in the final third with the strike to put Barcelona 2-1 up midway through the 2nd-half.

In the process of finding the net, though, Olmo appeared to injure himself.

After slotting into the far corner with a fine left-footed finish, the former RB Leipzig man fell to the ground in awkward fashion.

From here, it soon became clear that Olmo was in serious discomfort, clutching his shoulder.

Seen to by the hosts’ medical team at the Spotify Camp Nou, the midfielder in turn trudged off, ahead of a potential incoming spell on the sidelines.
