La Liga giants Barcelona have on Wednesday been forced to face up to a potential setback on the personnel front. This comes after Joan García was forced off prematurely in the club’s latest outing.
Hansi Flick’s troops are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front, in a La Liga meeting with Racing Santander.
The aforementioned Joan was for his part in from the off for the evening, taking his place between the posts for the 7th successive outing to open the season.
Upon the respective teams reemerging for the 2nd-half, however, the Spanish international was nowhere to be seen. Ensuing footage revealed the fact that Joan had seemingly suffered a muscular problem whilst recovering the ball on the stroke of the interval.
Wojciech Szczęsny, as a result, was introduced in his place.
A further update on the situation is expected following the full-time whistle at the Spotify Camp Nou.
