Barcelona star Fermín López suffers fresh injury scare, despite being only weeks from a return

Barcelona has recently seemed to be unable to catch a break when it comes to the high number of injuries their squad members are facing.

Midfielder Fermín López has been out since the beginning of September, seemingly getting closer to making a return, but recent reports seem to have pushed the 21-year-old’s return date back.

This is as per Mundo Deportivo, who are reporting that the youngster has suffered a fresh muscle injury, in the other leg to the injury that originally put him out of action.

Fermín took part in Tuesday’s training session but was unable to complete it owing to this fresh new injury setback.

MD are currently reporting that Fermín is set to be out of action until after October’s international break, pencilling in Barcelona’s home match against Sevilla as a possible return date.

There is a chance that this fresh new setback may have come as a result of the lack of a summer break on the part of the youngster, who travelled with Spain to the Euros and played with Spain’s Olympic champions.

Could Fermín’s body finally be catching up to him?
