Barcelona star expected to miss the club’s next 4 matches

An update on the wellbeing of Barcelona star Pedri has this week come to the fore online.

This comes amid the understanding that the 22-year-old, despite enjoying solid progress in his injury recovery, is expected to miss the club’s next four fixtures in all competitions.

Midfielder Pedri was for his part condemned to a fresh spell on the sidelines late last month, owing to a tear in the distal biceps femoris muscle in his left thigh.

The Spanish international was in turn forced to sit out Barcelona’s last three outings.

Hansi Flick sparked excitement regarding Pedri’s potential return this past weekend, in seemingly hinting that the youngster could be available to face Athletic Club on November 22nd.

If the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, however, then as much is in fact extremely unlikely.

As per a report from Diario Sport, the more realistic aim is for Pedri to make his comeback against Real Betis on December 6th.

As much would mean the former Las Palmas talent missing upcoming fixtures against all of Athletic, Chelsea, Deportivo Alavés, and Atlético Madrid.
