Barcelona star Raphinha did not receive a single 1st-placed vote for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
That’s according to French outlet L’Équipe, who have on Friday provided an insight into the situation.
The subject of Raphinha’s Ballon d’Or finish has of course proven to be a source of contention amongst fans and the media alike across the week to date.
This comes after the Brazilian secured only enough votes for a place in 5th.
After nothing short of an incredible term in Barcelona colours in 2024/25, many felt as though Raphinha was deserving of a higher ranking.
As alluded to above, though, the voters evidently do not agree with such a sentiment.
On Friday, a breakdown of the final ‘Golden Ball’ ballots has been forthcoming online, providing a look at those to have received 1st-placed votes.
Winner Ousmane Dembélé led the way by some margin, ahead of Lamine Yamal, Vitinha, Mohamed Salah and more.
Without a single top spot vote to his name, though, was the aforementioned Raphinha.
