Barcelona star Jules Koundé has this week come in for fresh criticism for the level of his performances.
This comes owing to the defender’s latest showing in the colours of his native France.
Les Bleus were back in action yesterday evening, locking horns with Ukraine in a World Cup qualifying clash.
And though Didier Deschamps’ troops ultimately cruised to a 4-0 triumph to book their spot at next year’s showcase, Koundé was the subject of criticism.
Featuring from the off at right-back, the former Sevilla man endured a less-than-impressive showing.
As much was quickly highlighted by L’Équipe (as cited by Diario Sport), who questioned whether Koundé is still struggling with some sort of injury problem.
It was also noted that Chelsea’s Malo Gusto continues to offer far more from an offensive standpoint than Koundé, amid what has been something of a season to forget all told for the 27-year-old to date.
