La Liga giants Barcelona are hopeful of welcoming Andreas Christensen back into the matchday fold for their upcoming meeting with Celta Vigo.
This comes with the Danish international having on Thursday returned to training at the Ciutat Esportiva.
Defender Christensen set alarm bells sounding behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital for the latest occasion earlier this week.
Fresh off a spell on the sidelines with a calf injury, the former Chelsea man linked back up with the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad on the training pitch.
Early in the session, however, Christensen was forced to withdraw, sparking fears of a potential setback.
His presence in group activities in Barcelona on Thursday morning therefore came as a welcome boost for Flick and his staff.
With Eric García a doubt to face Celta Vigo this weekend after suffering a broken nose against Club Brugge on Wednesday, Christensen could in turn see minutes on the pitch at Balaídos on Sunday.
