Barcelona star could depart after being handed 0 minutes against Vissel Kobe

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga has early this week been tipped for a potential departure from the club.

The player in question? Héctor Fort.

Full-back Fort has found himself at the centre of widespread chatter over the last 24 hours.

This comes after the Spaniard was an unused substitute in Barcelona’s pre-season opener against Vissel Kobe.

Manager Hansi Flick opted to introduce reserve team talents Jofre Torrents and Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández over the 90 minutes, but there was no place for Fort.

As much has given rise to fresh suggestions that the 18-year-old does not feature in the plans of boss Flick for the season ahead.

To the point that, on Monday, Fort has been tipped for an incoming departure from Catalunya’s capital.

Speaking during an appearance on COPE, Barca insider Victor Navarro explained:

“Héctor Fort didn’t play a single minute against Vissel Kobe. I think he might go out on loan.”
