A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona could be in line for a return to starting duties in the club’s next outing.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Fermín López as the player in question.
Attacking midfielder Fermín has for his part of course spent recent weeks condemned to a spell on the sidelines.
Owing to a muscular injury suffered late in a La Liga meeting with Getafe, the 22-year-old was forced to sit out each of Barcelona’s last four outings in all competitions.
Generally, upon players returning from a spell out of action at Barcelona, they are eased back into things, with an appearance from the bench.
In the case of Fermín, though, this is reportedly not the plan.
With Dani Olmo and Raphinha unavailable to face Girona owing to injuries of their own, MD report that ‘Hansi Flick is considering starting Fermín against Míchel’s team’.
