A member of the first-team ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona is taking into consideration a winter exit from the club.
That’s according to Diario Sport, citing Sky Germany, who highlight Marc-André ter Stegen as the player in question.
Goalkeeper Ter Stegen is for his part of course sidelined long-term at present.
This comes after the German international was forced under the knife, to solve a long-term issue in his back.
The widespread understanding is that Ter Stegen would not have been featuring on a frequent basis for Hansi Flick’s side, anyway, following the summer signing of Joan García.
In turn, it came as something of a surprise when a string of claims were forthcoming in the media, that the 33-year-old was not taking into consideration a January move.
Ahead of next summer’s World Cup, Ter Stegen desperately needs to build up form and fitness by way of playing time.
If the latest word stemming from his home country late this week is anything to go by, though, then the shot-stopper appears to be reconsidering his stance.
As per a report from Sport:
‘Sky Germany’ points out that the goalkeeper would now be more open to the possibility of analysing a transfer or loan for six months.’
