A leading member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has this weekend revealed that he trains three times on a daily basis.
The player in question? Jules Koundé.
Stopper Koundé, for his part, is of course in the midst of what has been a superb start to the campaign.
Shining from his berth at right-back, the France international has long established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet of new boss Hansi Flick.
And, safe to say, as much has not come by accident…
Instead, after Koundé was at times last season singled out for heavy criticism, the former Sevilla man has put in countless hours of work, to put himself in the best possible position to succeed on the pitch.
Speaking in an interview with La Vanguardia this weekend, the 25-year-old was drawn on his remarkable work rate.
And Koundé went on to confirm:
“I train three times a day, about three and a half or four hours. And then I do what the football world demands. Take care of yourself, sleep well, recovery.”
