Barcelona star Jules Koundé has confirmed that he has put pen to paper on a new contract with the club.
France international Koundé is for his part of course fresh off a stellar individual campaign in 2024/25.
Thriving from his berth at right-back under the watch of new boss Hansi Flick, the former Sevilla man added a new attacking element to his game, en route to an impressive haul of four goals and eight assists in all competitions.
And such exploits, evidently, did not go unappreciated behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
This comes amid confirmation on the part of the 26-year-old himself that he has committed to the terms of a new deal at the Camp Nou.
Drawn on his contract situation during an exchange with the media on Wednesday, Koundé explained:
“Have I renewed my contract? Yes until 2030, it’s a matter of days. Everything is finalized, so I’m happy. It was quite quick. The club and I had the same idea to continue. I’m very happy at the club.”
