Barcelona star confirms he dedicated goal vs Girona to Hansi Flick

Barcelona star Pedri has on Sunday evening confirmed that he dedicated his latest goal to head coach Hansi Flick.

Barca, of course, marked their post-international break return to action a short time ago.

Fresh off a flawless opening to the La Liga campaign, the Blaugrana made the short trip across Catalunya, for a meeting with Girona.

When all was said and done, the evening’s visitors made it five wins from five, courtesy of goals on the part of all of Lamine Yamal (2), Dani Olmo, and Pedri.

And, as alluded to above, the latter of this trio has since confirmed that his strike was dedicated to none other than manager Hansi Flick.

After rounding the hapless Paulo Gazzaniga to slot home a composed finish midway through the 2nd-half, Pedri wheeled away towards the sideline.

And, drawn on as much post-match, the midfielder went on to explain that:

“My goal was dedicated to Flick. Before the match I told him that If I score, I will celebrate with him.”
