La Liga champions Barcelona will again be forced to make do without the contributions of star winger Raphinha in their next outing this weekend.
That’s according to Diario AS, who have on Thursday provided an update on the Brazilian’s wellbeing.
Raphinha has for his part not taken to the pitch since all the way back in September.
As much comes owing to a hamstring injury, from which the former Leeds United man appeared to have recovered last month, only to suffer a setback and be condemned to a more prolonged absence last month.
Across the week to date, murmurs had been mounting that he could be afforded a call-up to face Celta Vigo this weekend, amid positive recent progress in his recovery endeavours.
This, however, will in fact not be the case.
As per a report from AS, with the Barcelona medical staff not willing to take any risks with Raphinha, ‘he is completely ruled out for Sunday’s match in Vigo against Celta Vigo’.
