Barcelona star Pedri has on Saturday secured for himself a piece of club history.
This comes owing to his appearance in the Blaugrana’s La Liga meeting with Osasuna.
Barca are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front, hopeful of opening up a seven-point advantage atop the Spanish top-tier.
The aforementioned Pedri was afforded an expected start for the fixture, taking his place at the base of Hansi Flick’s midfield setup.
And as alluded to above, in the process, the Spanish international etched his name indellibly into the history books in Catalunya’s capital.
As revealed by statisticians Opta:
‘At 23 years and 18 days old, Pedri González has become the youngest player to reach 150 appearances for Barcelona in La Liga, surpassing the previous record held by Lionel Messi.’
As things stand at the Spotify Camp Nou, Pedri and his Barcelona teammates remain deadlocked at 0-0 with Osasuna, after seeing a first-half opener cancelled out by VAR.
