Comments on the part of a leading member of the attacking ranks at Barcelona have turned heads across Spain on Sunday.
This comes after he assured that Barca are fully aware of how to set about putting arch rivals Real Madrid to the sword.
The two biggest clubs in all of Spanish football are of course set to lock horns for the latest occasion later this evening.
The matchup in question comes in the form of El Clásico, when Real Madrid will welcome Barcelona to the Santiago Bernabéu for a La Liga showdown.
Should the former, when all is said and done, emerge triumphant, they will all but guarantee their status as newly-crowned La Liga champions.
On the other hand, in the case of a surprise Barca triumph in the capital, the gap atop the table will be closed to a not-insurmountable five points.
And one individual who appears confident in the Blaugrana’s chances of marching on to precisely that comes in the form of Robert Lewandowski.
Speaking to the media ahead of Sunday’s trip to Madrid, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, frontman Lewandowski assured that Xavi’s squad have learned from their mistakes of the past, therefore now fully aware of how to best their biggest rivals:
“We know how to beat Real Madrid. We know them and we have analyzed the mistakes we made the last time we faced each other. We know that if we minimize their virtues we can beat them at the Santiago Bernabéu.”
