Barcelona star Eric García has admitted that he and his teammates were left taken aback by the talents showcased by Blaugrana summer signing Roony Bardghji in his first training sessions with the club.
The name of youngster Bardghji has of course taken its place centre stage in the headlines surrounding Barcelona on Sunday.
This comes after the 19-year-old was afforded his debut appearance in the colours of the Catalans.
En route to a 3-1 friendly victory over Vissel Kobe in Japan, Bardghji was introduced off the bench during the 2nd-half.
And the winger went on to make his presence firmly felt, notching Barca’s 2nd goal of the day courtesy of a fine left-footed strike.
Even prior to as much, though, Bardghji was already making a name for himself in Hansi Flick’s squad.
Drawn on his new teammates during an exchange with the media following the full-time whistle on Sunday, the aforementioned Eric García confirmed:
“Roony surprised everyone in training.”
Defender Eric continued:
“Everyone knows who Rashford is, and Dro (who also marked his senior debut with a goal) possesses high quality. All the young players are fantastic.”
