Barcelona star ‘accepts he will have to leave’ in January

Barcelona star Alejandro Balde has faced up to the fact that he will be left with no choice but to depart the club this winter, amid his ongoing search for more consistent playing time.

Defender Balde is for his part of course fresh off a hugely disappointing campaign to date.

Having been knocked well down the left-back pecking order in Catalunya’s capital, the 23-year-old has been forced to make do with just four appearances, all from the bench.

This past weekend, Hansi Flick made clear once and for all his loss of faith in Balde’s talents, leaving the Spaniard out of his XI to face Alavés despite nothing short of a personnel crisis in Barca’s defensive ranks.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then Balde himself appears to have faced up to the reality of his situation as a result.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Alejandro Balde hasn’t lost hope, but he’s increasingly accepted that if he wants more playing time, he’ll have to leave Barça. The full-back is open to that.’
