Barcelona signing reveals which 2 players help ‘bridge the gap’ for English & Spanish speakers

Barcelona summer signing Marcus Rashford has this week moved to reveal his appreciation for two fellow members of Hansi Flick’s squad.

The pair in question? Frenkie de Jong, and Jules Koundé.

Frontman Rashford is for his part of course fresh off sealing something of a dream move to Barcelona earlier this summer.

The 27-year-old has since set about integrating himself into the Blaugrana’s ranks, no doubt eager to see his Camp Nou switch made a permanent one next summer.

One challenge which Rashford has already encountered during his time in Spain is the language barrier between he and some of his new teammates.

As alluded to above, though, two fellow Barca stars have proven themselves hugely important when it comes to bridging this gap.

Speaking during an appearance on ‘The Rest is Football’ podcast this week, Rashford explained:

“In the dressing room, people speak Spanish and Catalan. Quite a few can speak English, and some, like Jules Koundé and Frenkie de Jong, help bridge the gap between English and Spanish.”
