Barcelona signing ‘on track’ with fee to be paid in ‘2 to 3 weeks’

La Liga giants Barcelona are making progress in efforts towards securing a 2nd signing of the summer.

That’s according to El Chiringuito TV, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

The subject of arrivals has of course dominated the headlines at Barcelona over the course of the day to date.

This comes after the Blaugrana at last made official their first signing with a view to next season.

The player to have put pen to paper on terms with Hansi Flick’s side? Joan García.

And as outlined above, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then a 2nd high-profile arrival could soon follow Joan to the Camp Nou.

It is of course common knowledge at this point that, after a summer-long saga in 2024, Barcelona have reignited their pursuit of Athletic Club star Nico Williams.

The Spanish international has made his way back to the top of the left-winger target shortlist drawn up by Deco and co.

And it would appear that the operation is progressing in an altogether positive direction…

This comes amid confirmation by way of El Chiringuito TV’s Jose Alvarez Haya that:

“The signing of Nico Williams is on track. The payment of the clause is expected to be made in 2-3 weeks.”
