Barcelona set sights on two Bundesliga defenders

La Liga giants Barcelona have earmarked a pair of Bundesliga defenders as potential signings on the transfer front.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who highlight Nico Schlotterbeck and Dayot Upamecano as the players in question.

Schlotterbeck and Upamecano have been hotly tipped for respective exits from Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich next summer.

In the case of the former, as much comes with the German international seemingly eyeing a new challenge away from Signal Iduna Park.

Upamecano, meanwhile, is due to see his contract terms in Bavaria expire in 2026.

A whole host of clubs from across the continent, in turn, are keeping a close eye on the talented central defenders.

And chief amongst them, it is understood, are Barcelona.

On the lookout for reinforcements at the heart of defence amid the uncertainty surrounding Andreas Christensen’s future, the Camp Nou brass, according to MD, are ‘very likely’ to be on the trail of both Schlotterbeck and Upamecano.
