Barcelona set for €11m financial boost

La Liga giants Barcelona have this week been afforded some altogether welcome news on the financial front.

This comes amid confirmation that AS Monaco intend to make the signing of Ansu Fati permanent this summer.

Attacker Ansu has of course spent the season to date plying his trade in France, as part of a year-long loan from Barcelona.

And the 23-year-old, despite niggling fitness problems, has gone on to enjoy a productive campaign all told.

Across 28 appearances between Ligue 1 and the Champions League, Ansu has racked up a more than respectable 11 goals.

And such exploits, as alluded to above, have proven enough to convince those behind the scenes at the Stade Louis II of the merits of keeping hold of the Spaniard for the long term.

As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano:

‘AS Monaco have decided to proceed with buy option clause worth €11m for Ansu Fati deal to turn permanent. Barcelona will mantain a sell-on clause as soon as terms are finalised also with Ansu.’
