Barcelona set €25m midfielder price-tag

La Liga giants Barcelona have made known the fee which will be required to convince the club of the merits of midfielder Marc Casadó’s sale this summer.

This comes amid the understanding that the Blaugrana have slapped a €25 million price-tag on the head of the Spanish international.

Youngster Casadó is of course fresh off a challenging campaign in Catalunya’s capital. Owing chiefly to the stiff competition for places in Hansi Flick’s engine room setup, the 22-year-old was restricted largely to a backup role.

All told, Casadó was afforded just 15 starts between La Liga and the Champions League.

Such woes have given rise to inevitable speculation surrounding the youngster’s future, amid interest from clubs in both Europe and the Middle East.

And as alluded to above, this week, these suitors have been made aware of the kind of sum with which they will need to part to bring Casadó in.

As per a report from Marca:

‘Deco and and Jorge Mendes, the player’s agent, have already discussed the matter to explore how this departure could take place.
Firstly, a price of around €25 million has been set.’
