La Liga giants Barcelona have added a new name to their summer transfer wishlist.
This comes amid the understanding that the performances of Spanish starlet Iván Fresneda on the books of Sporting CP have turned the heads of Deco and co.
Fresneda, for his part, is a 21-year-old defender, who chiefly lines out at right-back.
The youngster has played a leading role in the backline of Portuguese heavyweights Sporting across the season to date, to the tune of 36 appearances in all competitions.
Across these outings, Fresneda has impressed at both ends, with a goal and three assists to his name.
And as alluded to above, along the way, the former Real Valladolid talent has piqued the attentions of one of European football’s top clubs.
As per a report from Fichajes:
‘FC Barcelona continue to explore the market in search of solutions to reinforce the right flank. Fresneda’s development has not gone unnoticed, and Barcelona are already seriously considering signing him.’
