The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have sent a contract renewal proposal to up-and-coming talent Shane Kluivert.
This comes amid efforts to tie the youngster down for the long-term.
As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano, ahead of the expiration of Kluivert’s current terms in the summer of 2026:
‘After turning 18 and playing this year for Barça B, Barcelona offered the talented winger a new 3-year contract. No decision has been taken yet.’
Kluivert, for his part, is the son of ex-Barcelona striker Patrick, who spent six fruitful years plying his trade on the books in Catalunya’s capital.
Shane, a youth international with The Netherlands, also chiefly operates in the final third, albeit out wide.
The 18-year-old is considered by many to be a potential future star in the making, hailed for his technical quality and much more.
Kluivert has been lining out in Barca colours since all the way back in 2018, when he joined from the academy setup at French heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain.
