La Liga champions Barcelona have issued a response to the heartfelt message sent their way by Marcus Rashford on Thursday.
This comes after the Englishman took to social media, to bid a fond farewell to all associated with the Blaugrana. In a post on his official Instagram account, frontman Rashford – whose Camp Nou loan switch was not made permanent – wrote:
‘Extremely grateful to everyone at the club for turning my time here into such a positive and unforgettable experience. I’ve loved every moment and will carry those special memories with me. Wishing the club and all the fans the very best of luck and massive success this season.
‘Visca el Barça!’
Rashford’s message has since been responded to by Barcelona supporters the world over, thanking the 28-year-old for his efforts whilst donning the club’s famed red and blue stripes.
And as alluded to above, the Catalans have since followed suit with a reply of their own. Taking to the comments section of Rashford’s IG post, Barca wrote:
‘Thanks for everything, Rashy. You will always be one of us’
Rashford then added:
‘I will be back one day to support the boys’
