The board at La Liga champions Barcelona have moved to firmly deny that they are expressing a keen interest in the signature of Bayern Munich star Harry Kane.
This comes after claims surfaced in England earlier in the day that the Blaugrana have earmarked the 32-year-old as the ideal successor for the aging Robert Lewandowski.
Kane is for his part in the midst of a blistering campaign to date on the books of Bayern Munich.
Barcelona, as of yet, however, have not made any moves towards his signature.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘Mundo Deportivo contacted FC Barcelona to verify this information (first reported by The Guardian), which was denied.’
Barcelona are of course widely expected to seek out reinforcements up top with a view to the 2026/27 campaign, ahead of the expiration of Robert Lewandowski’s contract terms next summer.
As of yet, however, Deco and co. have not drawn up any kind of shortlist of targets.
