Barcelona release statement in response to 2nd kit ‘leak’

The powers that be at Barcelona have this evening released a statement, in response to leaked photos of the club’s alleged kit for next season surfacing online.

The subject of Barca’s design plans for the 2024/25 campaign have taken their place front and centre in the media over the last 48 hours.

This comes after a series of photos, showcasing Nike’s alleged intentions for the Blaugrana’s next away kit, were unveiled across social media:

The design was met with widespread approval on the part of Barca’s fanbase, many of whom expressed their excitement at the prospect of their side taking to the pitch in the classy shirt.

Such supporters, however, need not get their hopes up.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of Joan Laporta and the Camp Nou board that, in fact, they have not signed off on any such kit.

As per an official statement released across the club’s website and social media platforms:

“FC Barcelona wish to refute information that has appeared in the press today about a supposed design for the second kit for the season 2024/25.

“The Club denies that it has ordered or approved this design as has erroneously been published on social media, the written media and the internet. “
