Barcelona & Real Madrid stars return to international starting XI

Members of the first-team ranks at La Liga’s two leading clubs have on Monday returned to starting roles on the international front.

The players in question? Jules Koundé, and Eduardo Camavinga.

Defender Koundé and midfielder Camavinga were both forced to make do with spots on the bench with France late last week.

This came en route to a 3-0 downing of Azerbaijan.

Didier Deschamps’ troops have since returned to action on Monday evening, in their final outing of the October international break against Iceland.

And this time round, both of the aforementioned pair have been restored to Les Bleus’ starting XI.

Barcelona stopper Koundé has stepped back in at right-back for the evening’s visitors to Reykjavík. He replaces Chelsea star Malo Gusto.

And further forward, Real Madrid man Camavinga has joined Roma’s Manu Koné at the base of midfield, with both Adrien Rabiot and Khéphren Thuram left out as a result.
