Barcelona & Real Madrid have both ‘expressed interest’ in signing of English sensation

Spanish football’s two biggest clubs are keeping a close eye on the development of one of the jewels of the English game.

That’s according to Fichajes, who highlight Jeremy Monga as the player in question.

Monga, for his part, is widely considered to be one of the standout up-and-coming talents in England at present.

The attacker, who chiefly operates on the wing, last season became the 2nd-youngest debutant in Premier League history, after taking to the pitch for Leicester City in a meeting with Newcastle United.

And Monga has since gone on to play his part in each of Leicester’s three fixtures thus far this season, too.

Not only that, but at just 16 years of age, the starlet managed to find the net against Preston North End this past weekend.

And such exploits, as alluded to above, have not gone at all unnoticed amongst La Liga’s heavyweights.

As per a report from Fichajes:

‘Both Real Madrid and Barcelona sent scouts to closely monitor him at Leicester City’s youth academy matches, but his breakthrough to the first team accelerated the process.’

The plan laid out by the Clásico rivals, in turn, is clear:

‘To convince the player’s entourage as soon as possible and guarantee him a future in which, from the age of 18, he can make the leap to Spain.’
