Spanish football’s two biggest clubs are ready to battle on the transfer market once more over the months ahead.
That’s according to Fichajes, who point towards Marc Guéhi as the reason for as much.
Defender Guéhi has seen his name reemerge as an altogether prominent one in the media headlines across Europe over the last couple of week.
This comes after Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner confirmed that the England international does not intend to renew his expiring contract.
Guéhi, in turn, will be free to negotiate a pre-contract with interested parties following the turn of the year.
And chief amongst the 25-year-old’s suitors, it is claimed, will be both Barcelona and Real Madrid.
As per a report from Fichajes, Real Madrid consider Guéhi ‘a significant market opportunity’, whilst Barca ‘are keeping a close eye’ on the stopper.
Both on the lookout for reinforcements at the back with a view to next season, a Clásico showdown therefore appears to be in store on the transfer market.
