The 27-year-old is as things stand due to see his contract terms come to a close next summer, with little progress having been made in negotiations regarding a renewal.
Whilst those behind the scenes at the Allianz Arena remain hopeful of turning the situation around, a host of the continent’s top clubs have in turn begun monitoring the situation.
As per a report from Fichajes, chief amongst them are Barcelona and Real Madrid, ready to lock horns on the transfer market after doing so on the pitch this past weekend.
Also in the running to bring Upamecano in on a free transfer, though, are two of English football’s headline clubs, in Chelsea and Liverpool.
