Barcelona ready to reject one player’s next international call-up

The brass at La Liga champions are already preparing to reject the next international call-up afforded to star winger Lamine Yamal.

That’s according to ARA, who have on Monday provided an insight into the situation.

Youngster Lamine is for his part fresh off marking his return to the pitch.

En route to Barcelona’s 2-1 La Liga victory over Real Sociedad on Sunday, the 18-year-old was introduced off the bench during the 2nd-half.

And Lamine wasted no time in making his impact felt, laying on the game’s winner courtesy of a brilliant assist just minutes after coming on.

Prior to as much, the attacker had been forced to sit out four successive fixtures, owing to an injury suffered whilst lining out for Spain earlier this month.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then Barcelona are already understood to be putting plans in place to ensure that a similar development is not forthcoming in October.

As per a report from ARA, after Hansi Flick was left furious with Spain boss Luis de la Fuente’s treatment of Lamine in La Roja’s most recent fixtures:

‘The Blaugrana club has already activated the plan to prevent the Maresme striker from being part of the next Spanish national team call-up to play two World Cup qualifying matches against Georgia and Bulgaria.’
