Barcelona president Joan Laporta has forward a crystal clear message to sporting director Deco, regarding a key summer transfer target.
That’s according to Barca insider Gerard Romero, who points towards Nico Williams as the player in question.
The name of wide-man Williams has of course returned to the very forefront of the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last 24 hours.
This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that Deco had been spotted in the city of Zaragoza, for a meeting with the agent of the 22-year-old.
Williams for his part sits at the very top of the Blaugrana’s summer wishlist, with the Athletic Club standout himself more than eager to link up with Hansi Flick’s squad, too.
In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of Barcelona sporting director Deco being sent an unwavering message by those above him in the Camp Nou boardroom.
As per the aforementioned Gerard Romero, during a recent exchange between the pair, Joan Laporta urged Deco to wrap up an agreement with Williams and his entourage ‘ASAP’.
As much comes amid mounting interest in the signature of the Euro 2024 winner from across the continent.
