Barcelona president Joan Laporta has a clear idea in mind when it comes to his favoured signing to reinforce the club’s centre-forward berth for the years ahead.
This comes amid confirmation that the Spanish patron has his sights set firmly on Atlético Madrid frontman Julián Alvarez.
Barcelona are of course widely expected to dip into the market for fresh blood up top with a view to next season.
As much comes with Robert Lewandowski primed to depart upon the expiration of his contract terms in the summer.
And president Laporta is in no two minds when it comes to the 37-year-old’s successor…
As per a report from The Athletic:
‘Laporta’s dream signing to bolster the forward line was Atletico Madrid’s 25-year-old Argentina international Julian Alvarez.’
It is also noted, however, that it is ‘unclear’ whether or not Barcelona could afford to fork out the massive fee likely to be demanded by La Liga rivals Atléti.
