Barcelona pair fly out for meeting with leading managerial target

Representatives from La Liga giants Barcelona have on Wednesday made their way to London, to hold discussions with a leading managerial candidate.

The tactician in question? Hansi Flick.

The name of German tactician Flick has of course returned to the forefront of the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of recent days.

This comes amid widespread confirmation that the Barcelona brass are giving fresh consideration to a change on the bench with a view to next season.

With options thin on the ground to replace Xavi, Flick is considered one of the more attractive targets, boasting a proven track record at one of the continent’s top clubs, in Bayern Munich.

And, as per a report from ESPN, since confirmed by Diario Sport, Blaugrana board members Deco and Bojan Krkić have as a result flown out to England’s capital, to hold a meeting with the German.

Super agent Pini Zahavi, known to boast excellent relations with Barca, will also be in attendance at the sit-down, having recently been hired by Flick to manage his future.

It now remains to be seen whether the talks prove sufficiently productive to guide the parties towards a joining of forces for next season.
