Barcelona open transfer talks with Sporting CP

La Liga giants Barcelona have opened transfer negotiations with their counterparts at Portuguese outfit Sporting CP.

That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Vitor Roque as the subject of the talks between the parties.

Frontman Roque’s future of course remains entirely unclear heading into the new campaign, amid the widespread understanding that the Brazilian has failed to convince new Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick.

The Camp Nou Brass, in turn, are seen as increasingly open to an exit for their January signing, albeit with it yet to be seen whether as much would come by way of a permanent transfer, or a loan.

One club, though, who are evidently keen on one or the other, come in the form of the aforementioned Sporting.

As per Matteo Moretto of Relevo:

‘Sporting Lisbon are in talks with Barça over Vitor Roque. The Catalan side needs to get rid of several players and the Brazilian has sparked the interest of the Portuguese team.’

It now remains to be seen if common ground can be found, to send Roque to Portugal for the season ahead.
