The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona will no doubt have taken full note of word stemming from the English media late this week.
This comes amid the understanding that Premier League outfit Manchester United have strongly entered the bidding for Karl Etta Eyong.
The name of frontman Etta Eyong has grabbed the headlines across Spain over the early weeks of the new campaign.
This comes with the Cameroonian in the midst of a remarkable run of form, giving rise to eight direct goal contributions in eight La Liga appearances.
Such impressive exploits have given rise to inevitable transfer speculation surrounding Etta Eyong’s name.
The aforementioned Barcelona, for one, are understood to be keeping a particularly close eye on the 21-year-old, with a view to a future offer for his signature.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the Blaugrana are far from the only ones interested.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘One of the teams that would have initiated contacts to try to advance in the bid is Manchester United, according to several English media reports.’
As things stand, though, Etta Eyong is prioritising staying put in Spain.
