Barcelona offered chance to sign Paulo Dybala for cut-price fee

La Liga giants Barcelona have been offered the chance to land AS Roma star Paulo Dybala in the summer.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into the situation.

Dybala, for his part, is currently enjoying something of a career revival, on the books of the aforementioned Roma.

Having established himself as an integral figure under the watch of both José Mourinho and Daniele De Rossi, the Argentine international looks a man reborn in his trademark no.10 role.

All told, in 19 Serie A appearances across the season to date, he has racked up 19 direct goal contributions.

It has been Dybala’s form over the last couple of weeks in particular, though, which has begun to pique attentions across the continent.

This comes with the 30-year-old having followed up on a hat-trick against Torino with a further goal and assist at Monza last time out.

The powers that be at Roma, as a result, are understandably keen to tie Dybala down to fresh terms.

As alluded to above, though, such hopes on the part of the Giallorossi could yet be scuppered by one of La Liga’s top clubs.

As per Sport: ‘The attacker has been offered to Barça, who are studying the operation’.

Dybala’s contract in Italy’s capital contains a release clause set at just €12 million for foreign clubs.

Amid the club’s long-standing financial woes, such a sum marks an understandably tempting one for Barcelona, despite the fact that, at present, the Blaugrana do not view the former Juventus man as a ‘priority’ on the market.

Dybala, for his part, has long dreamed of donning the colours of Barca, and would be ready to rebuff interest from the likes of West Ham United, Atlético Madrid, and parent club Roma, in the case of the Catalans stepping forward with a proposal for his signature.
