La Liga giants Barcelona are on the verge of closing a deal for Al Ahly prodigy Hamza Abdelkarim.
This comes after the Blaugrana improved their proposal, to figures more in line with the demands of the Al Ahly brass.
Youngster Abdelkarim has of course seen his name dominate the headlines in Catalunya’s capital for several weeks now.
As much comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the striker, who turned 18 today, has made his way firmly onto the transfer radar of Barcelona.
Deco and co. have in turn long been locked in talks with their counterparts in Cairo.
And if the latest update on the situation to have surfaced on Thursday is anything to go by, then the reigning Spanish champions now look closer than ever to tying up an agreement.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘The striker is close to joining Barça Atlètic on loan until June with a purchase option that has risen from €1.25 million to €1.5 million.’
