Barcelona must sell Luis Suárez before bidding for Memphis Depay

The Spanish FA have yet not given permission for Barcelona to sign Lyon striker Memphis Depay, as they need to sell Luis Suárez first, according to Dutch journalist Mike Verweij.

According to the association, the La Liga outfit does not yet meet all the conditions set by the Spanish government when granting a financial support package during the coronavirus pandemic.

Barça agreed personal terms with Depay last week, with Lyon set to agree on a fee of €30m including add-ons. The first official bid will be accepted by the French club, according to Fabrizio Romano. Suárez looks set to join Serie A giants Juventus.
